We can blame the dysfunctional Globalist Free Traders for the economic diseases of our times and the commodization of workers but we must know too that as consumers , we shop our way out of our jobs going for the cheaper imports.  Now  in the U.S. , Free Trade has created a new working poor class that is finding it difficult to even afford the cheaper imports while human dignity in the  work force has been trashed.  Thousands of auto workers and steel workers have lost their  jobs and I never met a union man who was rich.  Yet we blamed them for our economic woes while as taxpayers we are paying more than a billion dollars to foreign auto assemblers to build their assembly plants in this country.  For example, taxpayers will end up  paying more than $150 million dollars for the new Honda plant in Indiana which will create only 4,000 jobs. It will take forever, for the taxpayers to get any benefits out of the deal while at the same time 20,000 auto parts production workers  lost their jobs in the state.  Doesn't  this payout to  a foreign assembly  plant represent  in essence a tariff.
