Sadly, I will put the
following on some of my top blogs and sites and broadcast it to several social media site
Elizabeth Sullivan,
top columnist takes a detour into an endless pit and falls under the pressure of her newspaper's globalist free trader editors
My favorite journalist takes a detour in the road. Elizabeth Sullivan, a top editorial journalist at the Cleveland
Plain Dealer for many years and now as editor of the editorial page seemingly has fallen to the pressure of her
globalist free trader editors.
Pat Buchanan pubished an intriguing book titled Churchhill, Hitler and the Unnecessary
War primarily from the political viewpoint. He says the world wars were unnecessary wars. I wondered why he
left out the economic part because all wars are ultimately about economics and money. World War 2 was actually
about jobs and money and now more than fifty years later, we have lost it due to free trade and the globalist free traders.
With her visionary qualities, I had hoped someone like Elizabeth Sullivan would have recognized this and dedicate
her usually objective historical based writing to the causes and effects behind our economic crisis. I never believed she
would come to the fork in the road and take a detour away from her usual documented perspective. In the end, all those
boys in World War 2 lost their lives due to money and greed in our times.
Like our city
leaders of our immpoverished city, surrenders to free trade and passes on confusing history of what our city accomplished
in the high tech era.
She takes a detour in her overview about the rosy future of our impoverished
city. She says it is time to be optimistic again but I see it as the time when we should snuffed out the
concept that it is better to light one little candle rather than curse the darkness. It is time to curse the darkness
that has taken us into the economic abyss.
I thought Elizabeth Sullivan understood
that the free enterprise system depends on a full spectrum of functions from the bottom up and nothing much good happens
the other way around. There is not much difference in the failures of a trickle down economy in the private sector or
by it flowing down from big government. In the end, workers are left betrayed by both.
She centers the possiblities
of success on parasite ventures like redeeming entertainment areas, medical marts, convention centers and mega-gambling casinos.
Then she trys to provide a vision of a new green economy that will create jobs but any pursuit is a the mercy of
free trade that is based on who can do the work for the cheapest price. This is how we lost out as a high technology
center when at least 100,000 workers enjoyed a job related to high technology in our region. In Cleveland,
we worry about losing Lebron James a super basketball sports star. It makes the top headline on our front page. Lebron
James represents much more than that. He alsorepresent the race to the bottom promoting the NIKE emblem . It takes workers
who make the NIKE shoes a month of wages to buy just one pair while he takes in 100 million dollars promoting NIKE and
ultimately the suffering of underclass impoverished workers. This should alert us to all other horrible stories
about working conditions of the underclass including those who make many of our energy saving products that not only use impoverished
workers in dirty manufacturing facilities in places like China but also use miles of energy during the long haul shipping
phases getting to markets. There is no reason why any other so called green jobs would not go the same way. ( See

to the end for the last PC computer made in the USA and helped jumped start the Cat Scan industry. As a trouble shooter
supplyer , I served one of the last industrial computer manufacturers in the U.S.A. I experienced the close
down of many computer and high techn startup ventures in our region due to unfair free trade.
The industrial
revolution is not over. We still use and consume the products but they now come from somewhere else in the world.
Left behind are new working poor, underemployed and jobless classes that are hooked on the imported goods as if
it were a drug habit. Every time a factory or venture is moved, it leaves behind a burn out community.
Free
trade is not about trading products but about the deflation of workers in a global economic arena where there are no
winners. When I was part of the computer mainframe industry, we had about five functions in the computerization
of manual operations. We had to be very careful or a company could be critically wounded. First a system person would
design the essential elements knowing the particular way chosen would affect the whole. After this, someone would do a flow chart in a diagram fashion following the effects from the beginning to the end. Following this a progammer would convert
it to language the computer would understand knowing that the old phrase - garbage in and garbage out would apply. Then
the system would have to be debugged for the logical flow of events from beginning to end.
The Cleveland region
became a center for high technology because so many of the top corporations were headquarted here. During this time, I frequently traveled to the Silicone Valley where I had the opportunity to compare the real world to the software world. Free
trade came and destroyed all these processes and companies that spent many years in perfecting systems and media for the sake of cheaper production. You can copy cat something for a long time but will never be able to restore the
skills, time and investment it took to create all the new technology.
All the ventures, Elizabeth
Sullivan cited in her article as the way to the future are just peripheral pursuits starting somewhere in the middle
of a flowchart with no real beginning or ending for the whole of any society. Many ofthe ventures cited are parasites
needing something else to live off. These ventures live off the suffering of the underclass locally and across the globe.
Bloody wars flow from this fragmentation. What is the difference between any new biotech, green energy and related
ventures from what has happened to all our industry. Most jobs can be sent anywhere in the world and all
our jobs are based on who can do it for less in the least amount of resistance settings. We found out too that
all the money manipulations do not fill any of the voids left behind. Only local value added economies in balanced geopolitical
settings work. Nothing good comes from using workers in far away places who do not have the equivalent support systems.
All the imbalances ultimately boomerang back to our own front door.
Our city may be known for finding new green
industries but in the end the green will just turned to dirty green mold as it did in my industry.I witnessed more than a
thousand computer companies and businesses close down in just the Ohio, Michican and Pennsylvania region. And I was part
of more than a million workers who lost their jobs in the computer industry after being part of every computer generation
and many innovations in high technology. Elizabeth Sullivan says three words will make things happen again - education,
immigration and infra-structure. I worked in several factories while going to college full time
and if these jobs were still available today, there would be thousands standing in line to get them including college graduates.
And immigration was once based on filling jobs that were in large supply in the USA. Today we have immigrants
seeking economic survival after the U.S. sent thousands of factories to their homelands. Sullivan says high-tech
is a mirage without human capital. We had the human capital and high technology in our town once upon time and nothing
is being done to bring it back or even preserve it now. It was a race to the bottom and he hit bottom while free
traders want to continue the same mistakes over and over again. We lost our city in the Flat World of the globalist
free traders. See our impoverished city surrenders to free trade at http://www.bizarrepolitics.com/saga-of-mayor-surrendering-to-free-trade/ http://tapsearch.com/dirty-energy-saving/id5.html http://www.bizarrepolitics.com/us-impoverished-city-surrenders-to-free-trade
